The short version: we collect what you send us, use it to answer you and to do the work you hire us for, and never sell it.

Who we are

This policy explains how First Page SEO Guarantee handles information about the people who use this website and the people who contact us. In it, we and us mean First Page SEO Guarantee, and you means anyone who visits this website or sends us their details.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us, plus the basic technical data every website receives:

• when you answer Step 1 (the form on our contact page and at the foot of most of our pages): your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, whether you have a website and its address if you do, the best time to contact you, and your message if you write one;
• when you request a free SEO audit: your website address and your email address;
• with any form: the address of the page you sent it from, and with the free SEO audit form, which form you used; with Step 1, what that page is about: its kind of page and, on our home, guarantee, location and industry pages, its place, its industry and a label for the part of the site it belongs to, so we know what you were reading;
• when you visit: our hosting provider receives the standard information your browser sends with every request, such as your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for and the time.

How a form reaches us

Every form on this website sends what you enter over an encrypted connection to our website host, which passes it straight on to the service we use to receive and answer enquiries, together with the address of the page you sent it from, the time you sent it and the country your connection comes from. Nothing you send in a form is stored on the website itself.

Cookies, trackers and outside services

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie that protects the site against automated abuse; it is not used for advertising or to follow you across websites. We do not take payment card details on this website. If any of that changes, we will update this policy before it does.

One outside service is involved when you load a page: the fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them and Google receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy. Our videos play from our own website, so nothing is sent to YouTube or any other video service when you watch them.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• contact you, at the time you picked where we can, and answer your enquiry;
• assess your business and tell you if it qualifies for our first page guarantee;
• prepare and send your proposal and agreement;
• run your plan and send you its reports, if you become a client;
• keep this website running and secure.

We never sell it

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we never share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the companies that help us run this website and our business, such as our hosting, email and form providers, and only so they can do that work for us. They may not use it for anything else. Google Fonts is the one exception: every page loads its fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so your IP address reaches Google, which handles it under its own privacy policy.

We also share it when the law requires us to, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or with a buyer if our business is ever sold, who must then keep to this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it:

• enquiries that do not lead to an agreement: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then we delete them;
• client records: for as long as your agreement runs and up to seven years after it ends, because tax and business law require some records to be kept;
• server records of visits: only as long as our hosting provider keeps them to run and secure the website.

How we protect it

This website is served over an encrypted connection, and only the people who need your information to do their work can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
• send you a copy of it;
• stop contacting you.

Rights under state privacy laws

Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights, for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or Nevada's privacy law. Because we never sell your personal information or share it for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of there, and we will confirm that to you in writing if you ask. We will not treat you differently for using any of your rights.

How to use your rights

Reply with your request to any email we have sent you, or use the form on our contact page and we will reply so you can make it. We may need to check who you are before we act, and we reply within 45 days. Someone else can make a request for you with your written permission.

Phone, text and email

If you give us your phone number or email address, we use it to contact you about your enquiry and, if you become a client, about your plan. We do not send marketing texts or emails without your consent, and you can tell us at any time to stop contacting you.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and if we learn that we have, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top of it. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
